1. Make a list of all the ancestral death information you need to find. Go through your Pedigree Charts and Family Group Sheets and notice what death and burial information is missing. Create a to-do list and start searching.
2. Photograph graves at a local cemetery. Has anyone photographed or transcribed the cemeteries nearest you? Use Billion Graves or Find A Grave to take photos and transcribe information from tombstones. Your good works will help others and will someday be repaid to you in kind.
3. Get buried in databases. Spend some time this weekend exploring and searching on your ancestral surnames in new-to-you databases. Get started searching the databases available from RootsPoint, including our new Fondo Colonial Collection, by clicking on the Collections tab.
